QCPD launched new police community precinct
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director Police Chief Superintendent George T Regis recently spearheaded the inauguration of a new Police Community Precinct (PCP) along Baler Street in the area of Barangay Bungad.
The opening ceremony was highlighted by the arrival of the guests of honor Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista and District 1 Councilor Anthony “Onyx” Crisologo who were instrumental in the realization of the project.
In a message delivered by Gen. Regis, he expressed gratitude in behalf of the QCPD command to the local government for its support and gave due recognition to the office of Councilor Anthony Crisologo who sponsored the construction of the new structure as a public project for the first district of Quezon City.
It was also noted during the event that the location of the PCP will be strategic because if its prominent location and proximity to the city center where the former Baler Police Station-2 was also situated before being moved to its present location in Barangay Masambong.
The edifice dubbed as Baler PCP will be under the control and supervision of its mother unit which is the Masambong Police Station-2 headed by its station commander Police Superintendent Audie L Madrideo who readily received the precinct as a welcome addition to the anti-criminality campaign of QCPD in reinforcing police presence in the immediate vicinity and as a significant contribution to law enforcement capabilities.
