Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director Police Chief Superintendent George Regis personally led today the conduct of security inspection to public transport terminals such as bus and train stations in Quezon City to ensure the safety of commuters.

PCSupt Regis initially conducted security inspection at the Araneta Center Bus Terminal before proceeding to the other bus terminals along EDSA including the LRT and MRT train stations in Quezon City.

PCSUPT Regis said, “We expect starting today and even in the coming days the exodus of our kababayans (fellowmen) including foreign and local tourists who wish to spend Christmas and New Year to the provinces.

“We are here to conduct on the spot security check and inspection on public transport terminals to make sure that security preparations meet the required standards or whether they have enough security personnel in terms of providing safety and security especially for public commuters.

This is of course, aside from our uniformed policemen deployed in the area,”  PCSupt Regis said.

We are in constant contact with the security officers of the public transport terminals in order to respond promptly to any call for police assistance, Gen. Regis added.

Also, he reiterated to the public the following hotline numbers for any emergency assistance: QCPD Hotlines 925-8417/474-3106/ cellphone nos. 09187853735 / 09152581066; PNP Patrol 117 or text NCRPO’s Subukan Nyo Po Kami Nos. 09158888181 / 09999018181.
