Jobless youth holds up taxi driver; arrested by patrolling QCPD men
A jobless 29-year old male who tried robbing a taxi driver with an unidentified cohort got his come-uppance and is now languishing in detention at the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Station 6 in Batasan Hills.
Ramon A. Aribal, Jr., 20 years old, single, jobless, of 19 Holy Spirit Drive, Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City was arrested by patrolling elements of QCPD Station 6 after being cornered by taxi drivers and bystanders who foiled his escape. His unidentified accomplice, however, eluded capture.
In a report to newly-installed QCPD director, Police Chief Superintendent Mario O Dela Vega, Station 6 commander Police Superintendent Ronnie Montejo said that Aribal was apprehended after allegedly robbing Nestor H. Depetilla , 36 years old, married, of BF Road in the same barangay, driver of a Reno Taxi bearing plate No. TXC-319.

QCPD celebrates PNP’s 21st Founding Anniversary
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) celebrated the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) 21st founding anniversary during a recent Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held at Camp Karingal.
A Holy Mass was held at the QCPD chapel to kick start the occasion, attended by station commanders and chiefs of offices/units of QCPD led by District Director Police Chief Superintendent George T Regis.
The event was highlighted by the Guest of Honor and Speaker Undersecretary Rico E Puno of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) who was given full arrival honors by the troops and was treated to a customary Pass and Review.
QCPD launched new police community precinct
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director Police Chief Superintendent George T Regis recently spearheaded the inauguration of a new Police Community Precinct (PCP) along Baler Street in the area of Barangay Bungad.
The opening ceremony was highlighted by the arrival of the guests of honor Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista and District 1 Councilor Anthony “Onyx” Crisologo who were instrumental in the realization of the project.
In a message delivered by Gen. Regis, he expressed gratitude in behalf of the QCPD command to the local government for its support and gave due recognition to the office of Councilor Anthony Crisologo who sponsored the construction of the new structure as a public project for the first district of Quezon City.
